From new technology to new formats - in three steps

Producing and presenting a session for the Danish Journalist Union. "Technology influences format, a claim television commissioners previously rejected, that is until their fancy new iPhone arrived. What distinguishes X-Factor from its 1970’s predecessors is the armchair voting provided by the mobile telephone. How much technology has influenced TV formats creates debate, but the challenge lies in predicting what formats will fall out of today’s technology. By watching a range of the latest tech promo videos ‘borrowed’ from the web, this session will explore the up-and-coming phenomena, the new social norms and if lucky, predict the new TV formats of tomorrow."
